NYC - Broadway and 55th

I love NYC...go there every couple years. This time it was for a band/orchestra/drama class trip. Shot this on the way up Broadway to go see 'Miss Saigon'. I still remember the play bill and the huge opera-like auditorium on the inside.

I did some light feather dodging on the shadows (left face of the background building and across the face of the street signs)

The architecture of the build designs in NYC are gorgeous and has that very cool, classic Gotham/medivel look.

Special film used for this assignment -- I think it was ISO 400

I did some dodging around the hallway and escalator areas as I recall. Made several of these prints before getting this shot. I'm leaning over the railings as I'm shooting this -- tried to get a wide depth of view and a prespective on the length of this hall. Felt like the inside of a very long church with the butress supports above.

The early afternoon sunlight really helped me out getting the windows lit up. Reminds me of early Sunday mornings.

"An island on the pond"

Just found all my B&W contact sheets and print portfoilo from way back in high school!! You don't know how long I've looked for them, and to finally find them today was amazing. Spent a few hours posting 'em up on Flickr: Check them out if you got time!
